In this module, we offer a range of training activities designed to connect the European Union with the Latin American community, particularly students and decision-makers.
For graduate students enrolled at Universidad Austral, we provide an course on the European Union. For decision-makers, we organize a workshop focused on exploring cooperation opportunities with the EU, fostering collaboration within Argentina and the Mercosur region.
1st Workshop for Decision Makers on the European Union
On September 1 and 2 2025, Austral University hosted the first edition of the Workshop for Decision Makers: European Union, Mercosur, and Argentina: Strategic Challenges and Opportunities in a Changing World, organized by the Jean Monnet Module and coordinated by Dr. Santiago Ardisson. The 21-hour hybrid program brought together academics, experts, and public officials from across the country to explore the European Union, Mercosur’s current challenges, the global role of both blocs, the EU-Mercosur Agreement, and cooperation opportunities for Argentina. This pioneering initiative strengthened academic and political ties between the European Union, Mercosur, and Argentina. More information is available in the news section.
