Visit of José Antonio Sanahuja

From September 1st to 4th , the Jean Monnet Module of the School of Government hosted Spanish professor José Antonio Sanahuja , from the Complutense University of Madrid, former director of the Carolina Foundation , and special advisor for Latin America to the High Representative of the European Union, Josep Borrell . His visit was part of an academic and international outreach agenda that coincided with the School of Government's 10th anniversary celebration .
On September 1 , Sanahuja inaugurated his visit with a keynote address at the European Union, Mercosur, and Argentina Update Workshop : Strategic Challenges and Opportunities in a Changing World . Entitled " European Union and Mercosur in the New Global Configuration: Crisis of Globalization and Challenge to the International Order ," he presented an overview of the international framework within which the EU-Mercosur agreement is situated, before an audience of decision-makers with a distinctly federal representation.
On September 2nd , as part of the celebrations commemorating the 10th anniversary of the School of Government , the professor delivered a lecture on the dynamics of politicization and contestation of multilateralism and global governance, and how these transformations impact public administration. The event brought together graduates, faculty, and special guests for a day of institutional celebration.
On September 3 , Sanahuja was a featured speaker at the Academic Conference commemorating the 10th anniversary of the School of Government . Before a packed auditorium of students, faculty, and professionals, he spoke about the crisis in international development cooperation. In a panel moderated by Celina Cantú , Vice Dean of the School, he engaged in dialogue with Gustavo Béliz (former Minister of the Nation), Andrés Schipani (University of San Andrés), and Víctor Volman (Director of the Observatory of Argentinians for Education).
Finally, on September 4 , he concluded his visit by participating in the International Seminar “European Union and Latin America and the Caribbean: Opportunities and Challenges of the IV EU-CELAC Summit ,” with the presentation “Quo Vadis Latin America-European Union?” . There, he held a dialogue with international officials from the European Union in Argentina, representatives of CARI, and the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The visit of José Antonio Sanahuja was an event of enormous academic and institutional value, strengthening the links between the School of Government , the European Union and Latin America at a key moment in the bi-regional agenda.
